Atlanta Style: The Royal

Oh my, I’m jaded. I think it’s about time for a vacation, because everything around town just seems so blah to me these days. I’d been wanting see the Royal, a little (and I do mean little) hangout spot in the up-and-coming Castlebury area. The Sloppy Seconds party was happening there a few Saturdays ago, so I went to check it out. The results: ho hum. The music was okay, but a little on the “all the hits, Q100″ side (locals know what I mean). Klever, I expected more from you, but I supposed you played to the crowd. And a CROWD it was – it made for horrible picture taking. That fact didn’t matter much, however, since there wasn’t much style candy out that night. Here’s some of the few bright spots:

Unknown pair: cute clothes, bad pose.

Erin: Sweet girl, killer tat.

Kajuana: one of the night’s best dressed – dig the eye shadow.

Shauna: a bit on the plain side, but she wore it well. Plus, I’m a sucker for a Chanel purse.

Anonymous paparazzo: he needs to be in front of the camera.

I see now that my preference is clearly for mid-week parties. The same spot on a Thursday was loads more fun and fashionable. I wasn’t in shutterbug mode, but I did manage to snap a few
