Family Guy is one of my favorite things to watch on TV and the hour special called “Brian and Stewie” is brilliant! The episode is hiliarious and – as a bonus to those of us that see the world through fashion goggles – it references Thom Browne Fall 2009.

Heidi Klum picked the perfect time to wear her original Emilio Sosa dress last night at the premiere of “The Backup Plan.” The Project Runway 7 Finale is tonight! I think the judges did well to pick Mila to go forward to the finals. All three finalistw this year have beautiful construction and great design. Watch what past contestanst have to say about who should win, then enjoy a sneak peak at the collections at Bryant Park.

Fashion PR Maven Kelly Cutrone was definitely my favorite part of MTV’s scripted realities. Her black-hair cynicism was always a delicious foil to the vapid blondeness of Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port (or their characters). Now Cutrone has her own show on the delicious rerun-prone network Bravo. The show is called “Kell on Earth” and if the preview is any indication of what’s in store it is officially my new Monday night tube treat. The show premieres tonight at 10pm East Coast, 9 Central time. More at BravoTV.com

In its continued pursuit to fill the gaping hole left by “Project Runway,” Bravo brings us “Launch My Line” – a reality dramedy hosted by DSquared2′s Caten twins. In the show quasi celebrities team with fashion experts to start their own fashion lines. The jury is still out as to whether the show’s fashion is up to par. But if it’s drama you want, drama you most certainly will get!

So far the cuckoo quotient is won by fashion writer Patrick McDonald & designer Roberto de Villacis. McDonald, who refers to himself as a fashion “dandy” is paired with the emotionally volatile and physically violent de Villacis. The pair would be painful to bear in real life, but they definitely make for good TV. Check out a sneak peek from tonight’s episode:

Georgian-American designer Irina Shabayeva took home the prize in Project Runway’s first season in L.A. and on the Lifetime network. Irina, despite her the lack of hue variation in her collection, presented the best collection by far.

Second place designer Althea Harper had a collection that would give buyers many options, but she and Carol Hannah still looked like amateurs reaching a bit for the high standards of Bryant Park. Irina on the other hand looked like she definitely belonged there.

“It’ll be like live theater — at home,” said McQueen in an exclusive interview with WWD. “The audience at home is actually going to see more than the guests at the show. We’re filming from a load of different angles, and two big cameras will actually be a part of the performance.”

McQueen is collaborating with Nick Knight’s SHOWStudio.com, which broadcasts original fashion films, shoots, and special projects online, on the show, which will be streamed on alexandermcqueenlive.showstudio.com.

Robot cameras will be at work on and off the catwalk — and in the audience — while an LED screen at the back of the runway will beam out the roving cameras’ images. The camera lens as eye is a central metaphor of the show, Knight told WWD.

In addition to capturing the show on camera, McQueen and Knight will today start shooting a separate film that will be cut into the live coverage. The music will consist of two adagios, and has been composed by John Gosling and Raymond Watts especially for the show.

“Every year, buyers and the press come to see the spectacle of my show,” said McQueen. “But I want to generate something else, something for a wider audience — for people in Australia, Asia, and Middle America who don’t have a seat at the show. Really, what I’m aiming for is world domination!”

This September Bravo will premiere yet another fashion-focused reality-competition show. This time around the flick is call “Launch My Line” and stars DSQUARED2 design twins Dean and Dan Caten. See the preview below.

The series features ten well known professionals who are highly regarded in their own field of expertise, but have always dreamed of having their own clothing line. These professionals will be paired with ten established fashion designers who will help them execute their dream clothing line. The winning professional will have their clothing line launched and their expert designer, who helped them along way, will receive $50,000.

Dean & Dan will be joined by store owner Lisa Klein and fashion director Stefani Greenfield on the judging panel for the show, whose premiere airs Sept. 16 at 10pm Eastern.

Finally! A reality TV show that ends they we think it should: Anna won Bravo’s “The Fashion Show” – yay!!! I was skeptical about the audience voting format, but in this case I guess it worked in my favorite designer’s favor. She easily had the best style on the show and her sensibility translated into making a collection that real women actually want to wear.

The pink dress – above on the left – is selling at shopbravo.com for $140. The one on the right (the one I want) is going for $175. Both dresse won’t ship until this fall, however.

It’s fashion “week” in Atlanta. Accordingly, I’ve got no time for couch potato activity, which means I will miss the finale show of Bravo’s inaugural season of “The Fashion Show.” I’ll miss the convo Twitter buddies!

Every cycle host, producer, and overall model extraordinaire does at least one shoot with the model wannabes in which she is the photographer. Wednesday’s episode was that shoot and Super Tyra photo’d the models as bird-like creatures in the Brazilian jungle.

I wasn’t all that disappointed to see Celia go, but I was disappointed at how much they harped on her age (only 25!). Sure, she’s a bit mature to be just starting, but they acted that homegirl had wrinkles an inch deep and titties down to her knees! The youth obsession is as bad as the size obsession in fashion. It’s a shame.
